A little about me is that I have been second shooting on weddings for over 3 years now! When I work as an assistant to a photographer I am more than just an extra camera. I understand that my shooting ability and my professionalism needs to go above and beyond for my main shooter and I pride myself on being able to do that every time.
When you hire me as an assistant for a wedding/elopement you can trust that I approach each event with the same seriousness and artistic eye as I would if I was the main shooter. I make sure my communication with my main is always strong and that I know what is expected from me during the shoot.
This is my process:
I. Book the date.
This is where I confirm all the information about the date of the event and make sure we are on the same page. This process includes communication about your style preferences, any parts of the day you would like me to focus on, and anything else that I will need to know to make sure I represent you in the best light possible. If possible I like to make sure a contract is signed to protect us both.
II. Take photos.
Its the big day! I will meet you on site and we can have a quick meet up before we get to shooting! I am comfortable with using your SD cards or I can transfer images through Dropbox.
On the day of I also like to make sure to get some behind the scenes/In action shots of you for you to use for your socials.
III. We part ways for now!
Day is over, beautiful moments are captured and your clients couldn't be happier. This is where I hand back your SD cards if I was using yours, if not I will be heading home to upload those photos to Dropbox asap! I always appreciate it when my main photographer sends me a link to the final gallery once its done so I can see how amazing it all turned out!
